WIN Legislative Day and MBEF Lobby Day held on 4-16-2009

WIN Legislative Day was deemed a success. Brenda Griffith and Janese Neher met with Senator Crowell for a 3-4 minute discussion that went well. They will follow-up with a letter. All of the Senators were either briefed by our members or their offices' were handed WIN support information regarding the Senate Bill. Many participants went to the Governors Office and are planning a future meeting.

The University Missouri WIN chapters at the Nuclear Science and Engineering Institute-University Missouri Columbia supported this event with 15 students and Missouri Science and Technology sent 5 students. Wonderful posters were created by students at the Nuclear Science and Engineering Institute that really drew positive media attention along with two speeches delivered by the students.

Thank-you all for your support. It takes all of us supporting each other to make this turning event in Missouri's energy history - building Callaway 2 happen.
