Janese Neher started her career at the Missouri Public Service Commission in Rate Design. Later she moved to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and was responsible for the monitoring of groundwater under solid waste landfills in the State of Missouri including site remediations. Janese is currently employed at the AmerenUE Callaway Nuclear Plant in the Quality Assurance Auditng Department conducting independent audits. Janese is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri.
Janese strongly believes that the United States should be building new base load plants and nuclear is the carbon free and safe source to meet the US including Missouri’s future demands. Building a new fleet of nuclear plants in the US will create jobs and jobs for women that are so needed at this point in our country’s economic crisis. Janese further states that, it is Women in Nuclear (WIN’s) and each individual’s responsibility to help educate state’s legislature and public to assure nuclear power has a place in our future.

Education: BS Civil Engineering, Math and BA History; Masters in Environmental Engineering and Education; Graduate Student (Ph.D. Nuc.Engr.), Nuclear Science & Engineering Institute, University of MO-Columbia.
