IWIN is an Idaho organization, focusing on women, working in the fields of science, engineering, nuclear energy and other sciences.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of IWIN is to:

  • Promote an environment that supports leadership development of women in Idaho.
  • Establish a framework within the State of Idaho and nuclear industries through which women can further their professional development, to include but not limited to, by networking with customers in the industry and mentoring women.
  • Promote public awareness about facts on nuclear energy and the nuclear industry and promote career interest in science, engineering and nuclear energy.

GOALS

IWIN aims to contribute by objectively informing Idaho employees and the public, especially women, on nuclear energy and other sciences, in particular by:

  • Supporting Global, US, and Region 4 Women in Nuclear.
  • Providing communication channels between the IWIN Chapter, other WIN Region 4 chapters, customers, technical organizations, and professional organizations.
  • Offering support to WIN members who are striving for professional excellence by providing formal updates, communicating items of interest to working women, and providing guidance on continuing educational opportunities.
  • Working with education centers and community organizations to promote careers in science, engineering and nuclear energy, and Idaho committees/organizations and local organizations to provide and educate Idaho employees and the public with information on nuclear energy and the nuclear industry.

 

I support the Idaho Women in Nuclear (IWIN) Chapter’s Mission Statement and Goals to promote careers in engineering and nuclear technologies and public awareness about the facts on nuclear energy.
